One of my beautiful daughters recently began efforts to launch her own business. Yay! Thrilled for her. How exciting!

Bright girl that she is, she checked in with her wise old mama.

...after she'd bought her domain on a popular platform that offered a convenient website done-for-you buildout, hosting service, and optional professional email add-on.

After lavishing love on the site she'd populated with her branding information, I implored her to consider systeme.io.

Honest girls said she'd looked at it, but it was too confusing and she needed something easy. SMH.

If I have failed my own daughter in this regard, who else have I failed?

She was open-minded enough to allow me to whip up a systeme.io version of her site for comparison.

Can you guess? She chose to go with systeme.io. Naturally.

But I must confess, she has a good point. Popular website hosting services with user-friendly build-out functionality are very attractive. They promise ease, and they deliver.

As I was building out the systeme.io version of her site, I had to admit that there is a steeper learning curve to systeme.io. That home page is not intuitive. It is not immediately apparent to a novice that the Blog feature can easily be called into service to become your website. Although there are premade blocks and templates, the manipulation and editing is a new skill.

The pros, of course, are full customizability, an integrated email service, and the low-low price of FREE for new users. Even the annual fee of the starter package is lower than the sum of services you would need to pay for separately. With so many fewer headaches.

Also keep in mind - you build out your site once. Updates are easy after the structure is in place. Blog posts, if you choose to write them, are straightforward and simple. Why pay the big bucks for what essentially is a one-time task?

With my girl - and you? - in mind, I've begun recording little bits of my systeme.io learning journey. Find me on YouTube if you ever encounter a systeme.io editing headache; maybe I've already hit and resolved it. My goal is to never make a video longer than 5 minutes. Most are less than 3.
