Today is an incredibly exciting day for us—Day Zero of our new business launch!
My sister and I are thrilled to introduce you to the Prosperity Porch. We've been working hard over the past six weeks to get everything ready, and now we're finally putting ourselves out there on social media.
We don't have much to show in terms of growth just yet, as we are literally starting from zero. However, we have big plans and are eager to share our journey with you. We will be updating you every week on our progress, sharing the number of posts we put out, the results in terms of views and subscribers, and all the ups and downs along the way.
Right now, our focus is on YouTube and TikTok.
We've got some data templates ready, and as a bit of a data geek, I am excited to track and share our progress.
This isn't a retrospective; you'll be living this journey with us in real time. We'll be posting every Sunday, so if you want to follow along, hit subscribe!
I should mention, though, that the one subscriber on YouTube is me! I was testing that out.
We might not have social media growth to discuss today, but I want to give you an overview of what we've been doing for the past six weeks to prepare for this launch.
Are you planning on starting a business? in the online or digital marketing space? You might find it helpful to understand the groundwork.
Lay a Foundation
There is so much that goes into creating your business before you build a thing! We spent time brainstorming and researching - and training with The Roadmap - on tasks such as:
Understand that when it comes to your business name, you may not be able to run with your first idea. Obviously, many names are already taken.
As soon as we settled on an available nam, we grabbed the domain name and all the relevant social media accounts. Now we have our own little corner of the internet.
We used the guidance and step-by-step training from The Roadmap to build all the basics. For example, we needed our first sales funnel. If you are in business, you are selling products or services, so you'll need a sales funnel.
We learned systeme.io - love it - and build our funnel (and everything else) on this platform. Building a funnel involves more than updating a template. You will need to write your copy, select/design your images, perhaps create videos, and make design decisions.
Thoughtful design is crucial to ensure your site doesn't look chaotic. Even if you start with a template, you'll need to customize it to reflect your brand. Ensure your text, headings, and colors are consistent.
If you've met us, you know we are Roadmap enthusiasts and resellers.
But we did not want to stop there. Our vision was to provide more value than a single product option.
We decided to build a storefront / website with several digital products.. Naturally, we have to create those products.
We used Systeme.io to build our website and Canva to create additional digital products.
Why not become affiliates for brands we trust?
We immediately signed up to be systeme.io affiliates, and have gradually been adding recommendations for other products and services we love. We've added these to our website.
We also added recommendations where we are *not* affiliates. We just want to support businesses where we have had good experiences.
Finally, we started creating social media content. Even though we are launching today, we've been preparing content for weeks. We have a plan to ensure we don't wake up every day wondering what to post. Being organized and having a content pipeline is essential.

Hope to see you again real soon on the Prosperity Porch!
